Sunday morning was beautiful, crisp, and cold. Waking up early it’s a really nice thing to have a coffee with the warm air billowing over the shiny floorboards.
After seeing Wog Boy only last night we decided to see Wog Boy 2, Kings of Mykonos. It was alright, very funny in parts, but was a great look at Greek culture, albiet through the lens of satire.
After the movie we decided to go to Kafe Mez, a Greek taverna in Milton, the Lychee lounge for a cocktail, and finally Music Kafe to see a young band “right left of center”, I believe.
Took Laurita down to the Queensland Performing Arts Center on Saturday for the “in stitches” comedy festival. Saw a few bands including a rad Jazz band called Miguel, I love Jazz, and these guys were such cool cats.
We saw some pretty good acts as well, including some “boylesque” which as a straight man was a little messed up but I had to mention because of the guys obvious talent.
It was also a freeezing night, but we sat near one of those big gas heaters a little wine, and it was all good.
