I drove the car down the south east coast of Queensland, starting at Coolangatta, all the way to Byron bay, stayed in a backpacker hostel, had a few drinks, then got up early and watched the sun rise at the Cape Byron Lighthouse. We had a great Breakfast in the town, and then kept going back north. I had spotted the top of a huge mountain and had decided to climb it so took a detour, little did I know but that was the infamous Mount Warning, It took about 4 hours return, and about 4 days to get over it. The view was spectacular, I have a new love for the Tweed Valley. Mount Warning is the center of the whole of the SEQ/NSW border area, It was one giant mountain until it eroded and just left the Volcanic core. We also went through Natural Bridge into the cave and looked at the waterfall. Beautiful.
